Fact Sheet

Belliss has come a long way and has proven record of achievement going back some 50 years.
Belliss was the first Company in India to manufacture Single Stage Turbines and the first to manufacture Mini Multistage Turbines.
The following milestones charts the development of the Belliss business:
| Mid 60's | Introduced Single Stage Back Pressure Turbines (BMI Design Model SS26) |
| Late 60's | Introduced Multistage Back Pressure Turbines (BMI Design Model BD2) |
| Early 80's | Introduced Single Stage Back Pressure Turbines by modifying in India BMI Design Model SS26 to SS26M with Solid Root Blading and SS4A and SS6A Models to operate on inlet steam conditions of 45 Kg/cm2, 450 Deg C confirming to API 611 Standard. |
| Mid 80's | Introduced Mini Multistage Back Pressure Turbines (BMI Design Model MS26 which has since been modified in India to operate on inlet steam conditions of 32 kg/cm2g, 400 Deg C). |
| Late 80's | Introduced Multistage Back Pressure Turbines (High Pressure- with Nozzle Control Governing) |
| Early 90's | Introduced New Range of Multistage Back Pressure Turbines & Condensing Turbines. |
| Late 90's | Acquired and absorbed technology from Rolls Royce, UK (Allen Steam Turbines) for manufacture of 8-30 MWe Steam Turbines. These turbines are suitable for operating on inlet live steam conditions of 67ATA, 510 Deg. C to cater to Captive Power Generation, Co-generation and CHP scheme requirements. |
| Early 00's |
Introduced New Range of Multistage Back Pressure Turbines 6MW - 8MW & 10 MW-13 MW (SBP 450 & 450x and SBP-560 & SBP 560x) |
| mid 00's |
Installed 6 SBP-560's and 4 SBP 450's in the sugar industry.
Designed and developed two new Low Pressure Turbines |
| late 00's |
Designed and developed a new small straight condensing turbine as well as double extraction turbines upto 12 MW. Entered into the EPC/Turnkey solutions market Entered into the renewable energy space to produce and generate power using various renewables such as Biomass, Biogas, Solar, Geothermal Entered into the carbon funding and carbon trading market |
| BIL is now producing Turbines in various frames to cover output ranges up to 15 MWe and SBP 560 frame size machine stretched up to output of 13 MWe to suit inlet parameters up to a maximum of 45 kg/cm2, 450 Deg C for different applications. | |
