Belliss India Limited was invited to speak at the 11th edition of the flagship event of CII – Godrej GBC, the “ENERGY EFFICIENCY SUMMIT 2011”, held over 24th to 27th August 2011, at HICC in Hyderabad, India.
Mr. Bikash Mukherjee, Director and Group Head – Business Development, at Belliss made a presentation on “Steam Turbine Renovation Opportunities” in the event “Encon in Turbomachinery” held over 26th & 27th August, 2011. His session was chaired by L. S. Ganapati, Chairman – CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management. The session was conducted in the after lunch hours on 26th August, 2011.
The summit was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Dy. Chief Minister, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Damodar Raja Narasihma Garu. Other eminent speakers in the opening session were:

- Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency
- Dr. Naushad Forbes, Chairman, Energy Efficiency Council, Energy Efficiency Summit 2011
- Mr. Harish Chandra Prasad, Past Chairman, CII – A.P.
The message conveyed to the gathering by the eminent speakers as mentioned above was that such summit will make industry to focus on their energy efficiency and sustain their efforts on continuous improvement in the field of energy conservation which is the need of the hour in view of the disparity between power produced and power demand.
The speakers also unanimously emphasized that the buzz word in power plant operation previously was “PLF” – Plant Load Factor whereas today it is “Energy Efficiency” and “Reduction on the consumption of Auxiliary Power”, introduction of “SEEP” – Super Energy Efficiency Product and implementation of “PAT” – Performance, Achieve, Trade.
Our presentation was well appreciated and it created considerable interest especially on LP Turbines as well as replacement of Hydro Mechanical Governing with Electronic Governing System.
