Engineering Design Services (Main Turbine / Retrofitting)
- This service is provided by our Design Department as well. On receipt of order, design / selection of Throttle Valve, Nozzles, Blades i.e. their type and profile are choosen from a range of available design / sizes.
- Staging of Multistage Turbines is arrived at by achieving best velocity ratios.
- Retrofitting of Belliss Turbines is another major area of design activity. Now as many Belliss turbines are more than 25 years old and since then new Nozzles and Blade profiles are now in use which can be incorporated in such old turbines to make them 4 – 6% more efficient depending on the history and condition of the old Belliss Turbine.
- Trouble shooting also requires application of design knowledge. Regular interaction with field engineers are held in Design Department to jointly carry out trouble shooting. Design engineers thus can utilise and better understand relationship in theory and practice.
